Ice Blue is an English style bar located on Dong Khoi Street in District 1. It’s a very popular meeting place for Ho Chi Minh City’s ever growing number of expats. Reasonably priced drinks, friendly staff and a cosy atmosphere make this a great place as a starting point for a big night out or just to wind down after a hard day at work.

It’s not an English style bar at all, other than it has dart boards.

The owner and staff are great value. I had a couple of great nights there.

I agree that it is not an English pub. It is bit more of an American style pub. The atmosphere is generally very good in this place and it is probably getting to the “must see” status for visitors in Saigon. I was there when the bar had its opening night almost 15 years ago now. The owner is my dear friend. If you have a chance give this bar a visit and tell them Gary Dale sent you!

Ice Blue is a ripper spot. Always lively. The owner and staff are all tops. If you’re going to Saigon, you must go to Ice Blue.

What is the dress code for clubbing in Saigon? Do you need to wear jeans if you are a male or can you get into clubs in Saigon in shorts and some clubbing sneakers for shoes?
Stephanie says
If you go here, bring Dong. They will change USD but at about 20% less than what you can get at the exchange across the street, and 5% less than other retail establishments will give you.
